I am so honoured to be writing this. To me, it was a working relationship. Somewhere along the line i had the nudge to reach out to Sister Bisi because of the turbulence in my marriage. As usual of me, i resisted the nudge because I couldn't see past her being a senior colleague and also because it was hard for me to discuss my private life (something I had never done before). And then God moved past my reluctance because He saw i really needed help, I got an invite to join a private chat group "Glean with Me". Thank God I did not resist this time around. God used her (still using her) to open my heart to Him and the healing started. It was easy to open up to her about my past without any prejudice on her part. Through her counsel, I started the journey into living the life God has called me into. From a troubled childhood to a deliquent adolescent, to a drifting young woman, broken relationships, purposeless life, abusive marriage, the list is just endless God reached out to me through Pastor Bisi. Now I am learning to focus on God more, my relationship with my Maker gets better each passing day. I keep a journal to help me in my walk and keep my eye on things that matter. Is the journey easy, do I feel sometimes like i can't continue anymore? Do I feel the pain of God chipping off some bricks? Do i feel like resisting the changes taking place? Yes i do but then I known I am not alone, I have a support. I will come out of this molded and conformed to the image of Christ and that makes it a lot easier and worth it. Thank you Sister Bisi. (I call her sister because that is who she is to me now, I literarily adopted her as my Big sis) God bless you ma.
